HP Middle East today unveiled Samir Photographic Supplies (SPS) as HP’s exclusive Industrial Printing Solutions partner in Saudi Arabia. The deal will see SPS managing all sales of HP’s Scitex industrial solutions for the region.

Established in 1953, SPS is in the top 100 companies in Saudi Arabia and dominates the printing industry in the Kingdom. Apart from its core business of photography and imaging, SPS, through strategic agreements and partnerships, also has a major role in various industries including healthcare.

Bruno Carrier, Business Manager, Samir Photographic Supplies, said, “We're looking forward to passing on to our customers the valuable benefits of this relationship with HP. We are excited about the advantages which will assist businesses in Saudi Arabia to create large format images, opening a clear path to super-wide printing success.”

Under the agreement SPS will manage the sales for the HP Scitex XL 1200, HP Scitex XL 1500, HP Scitex Grand and the new HP Scitex FB910, formerly the ColorSpan 9840uv. With this partnership, industrial print service providers in Saudi Arabia who are interested in versatile, high volume production of durable outdoor and indoor applications will now have access to large format industrial digital printing solutions.

“The foundation of SPS’s rapid growth has been its strategy to establish dominant market coverage complemented by its people, management, marketing and customer relationships. It is this culture of integrity and dynamism that makes HP proud to announce SPS as our exclusive partner for our Industrial Printing Solutions in Saudi Arabia,” said Amr Hassan, General Manager, Imaging and Printer Group, HP Middle East.

“SPS has great experience in supplying imaging and printing products to niche markets and we can see how beneficial this experience will be for our portfolio of large- to super-wide printers in Saudi Arabia. The Middle East is witnessing an unprecedented growth in the outdoor and indoor graphics arena and our objective is to deliver the most innovative technology and customer driven products possible.”
