Huawei’s Market Share in DSL Continues to Rise
Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. ("Huawei"), a leader in providing next generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, today announced that according to a report published in the third quarter of 2007 by the leading industry consulting firm Gartner, it is currently in the Number1 position in the global IP DSLAM Market, with a market share of 31.5%, and that its DSL market share is continuing to rise.
According to a Gartner report, published on 18 December 2007 entitled ‘Market Share: DSLAM Equipment, Worldwide, 3Q07' by Gauri Pavate, IP DSLAM port shipments are rapidly increasing and in 3Q07, accounted for 77.3% of all DSLAM shipments. Huawei holds the No.1 position in the global IP DSLAM market and has increased its market share in Europe and the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). By the end of the third quarter of 2007, Huawei had shipped more than 70 million DSL ports to more than 90 countries including the UK, France, Germany, Singapore, Thailand, Brazil, South Africa and China.
Huawei IP DSLAM is fully compliant with the TR-101 standard and enables carriers to provide excellent broadband networks with its powerful bandwidth handling capabilities and abundant service features.
