hyundai to launch two new vehicles at 9th middle east international motor show
Hyundai will be showcasing for the first time in the UAE its stylish new i30 car and new multi-purpose TQ van at the 9th Middle East International Motor Show taking place in Dubai this week.
The new entrants will be joined on the Hyundai stand in Zabeel Hall by the latest Azera, Elantra, Sonata, Tuscan, Santa Fe, Veracruz and Centennial models.
According to Mr J. E. Kim, Executive Vice President Hyundai Motor Company Africa & Middle East Regional HQ, who will be present on the stand with Mr Isam Abu Nabaa, President Hyundai-Juma Al Majid Est., the new i30 introduces a new naming philosophy for Hyundai.
“The ‘i’ stands for inspiration, a key force driving all vehicle development at Hyundai,” he says. “But ‘i’ also stands for intelligence and integrity, and that is what customers have come to expect from Hyundai. In all these forms ‘i’ lies at the core of any Hyundai brand promise. From this premise the ‘i’ badge is a natural development.”
Mr Abu Nabaa says the new i30 will expand the opportunities for Hyundai in the UAE market and take market share from established European marques, while the new TQ van is also a welcome addition to the local Hyundai line-up.
Styled in Hyundai's Russelsheim Design and Technical Center for those who want stylish practicality with a distinctive dash of sporting flair, the i30 is aimed at the discerning drivers who want something different, but with proven integrity and quality. Initially available as a 5-door hatchback and an estate car, the i30 opens a new chapter for Hyundai in Europe and the MENA region.
Meanwhile, the all new TQ van with its sophisticated lines improves on its predecessor in every measurable respect. More spacious, more comfortable and more convenient, the new TQ reinvigorates Hyundai competitiveness in this hotly contested segment.
The new TQ comes in passenger van and commercial van versions. The people mover is available in a variety of seating layouts: eight, nine, 11 or 12 passengers while the commercial van comes in two, three, five and six seater versions for a high degree of versatility.
