Inaugural “Flavours from Brasil” exhibition begins February 21 in Dubai
Highly anticipated food expo to showcase top Brazilian organic foods, fruits and world-class coffee products
The first “Flavours from Brasil” exhibition running from February 21 to 22, 2009 at the Intercontinental Hotel – Festival City in Dubai is expected to further enhance interest and demand for Brazil’s world-class food products throughout the Middle East.
Conceptualized by Apex-Brasil, the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency, the consumer-focused event will feature the full range of Brazil’s superior produce, from its highly nutritious organic foods to its renowned gourmet coffees, and will highlight the compatibility of these offerings with Islamic standards. Brazil’s exceptional climate, advanced processing technology and sustainable agricultural practices have transformed it into a leading food exporter of several products, such as coffee, poultry, sugar cane derivatives and fruit juices.
Juarez Leal, Project Manager, Flavours from Brasil, said: “Although our country’s products are already popular among Arab consumers, this exhibition will promote a deeper understanding and appreciation of the processes and technologies that make our food products among the best in the world. There are also many products that the Middle East is not that familiar with, which offer numerous benefits in terms of health, cost and harmony with Islamic food requirements.”
Around 40 major exporting companies will showcase their products during the special business roundtable that will be held on the sidelines of Flavours from Brasil.
