symbolized the first day of the “Celebrate Service” week at InterContinental Mzaar; an InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) initiative to recognize the efforts of its employees across the globe. InterContinental Mzaar launched this project with daily activities headed by Walid Kanaan, General Manager of the resort, praising the jobs and efforts of all the employees.
The first day was marked by a briefing session to all department heads and employees around a generous coffee break. The celebration “fiesta” was held the day after with an exquisite international buffet on the outdoor terrace of Le Refuge restaurant gathered all the resort’s employees- from rank and file to department heads. More than 50 dishes and live cooking stations ratified the fussiest buds.
The days that followed were each represented by a different activity which main purpose was to recognize and honor the work of the employees. Between lottery tickets distributed to everyone, days where employees were serviced by their managers and department heads and days where candies, ice cream and fruitful juices were offered “à gogo” in the staff canteen, this week was definitely an event to remember.
The outcomes of this initiative were very positive; giving InterContinental Mzaar employees a motivational push during this very busy season. They were extremely happy for being recognized and considered that well over the passed five days.
In an effort to enhance the work atmosphere, InterContinental Mzaar was glad to launch this IHG project and to bring the “Celebrate Service Week” to life.
