InterContinental Hotels Group, the world’s most global hotel company, has appointed Raffi Torikian as Director of Sales and Marketing at the stunning InterContinental Le Vendome, Beirut, Lebanon.
Torikian, who has been consistently committed to the success of the hotel since joining in 2001 as a sales executive, is thrilled to have been promoted to the most senior sales position at the prime Beirut property.
Impressed with Torikian’s dedication, Denis Johnson, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, InterContinental Hotels Group Middle East and Africa, said: “Raffi joined the hotel as a sales executive in 2001 and has since occupied several positions in the department before landing the senior role. Raffi’s dedication to the hotel, his constant drive for results and natural leadership skills have all contributed to him emerging as one of the hotel’s most dynamic sales people and team leader.”
Born in Lebanon in 1971, Torikian attended the Notre Dame University in Beirut and graduated in 1996 with a BBA, specializing in Business Marketing. Torikian intends to further boost the property’s exposure to international markets. Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, and conveniently located near the Solidere business district and city centre, the hotel – which is a gracious and comfortable French-style property – already boasts a reputation for being one of the country’s most popular and stylish hotels.
“It has been wonderful working with the entire team at the Le Vendome InterContinental Beirut. Being promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing is a great honor and I look forward to fulfilling the expectations of the entire team,” said Torikian.
“There are certain aspects of the hotel that set it apart from the competition in Beirut and the main factor is that the 73 rooms and suites all blend local flair with international sophistication setting new standards of excellence in Lebanese hospitality. This is something that we are all proud of and have full confidence in promoting.”
