The Sultanate of Oman will host this upcoming Saturday the Oman International Conference for development and management of water canals.
The three-day event is organized by the Regional Municipalities, Environment and Water Resources Ministry.
Several international and regional organizations as well as authorities, such as UNESCO and the Kuwaiti Institute for Scientific Research are expected to participate in the conference, Oman News Agency reported.
Several working papers on the importance of water canals "Falajs" and how to develop them from inside the Omani Sultanate and abroad will be presented during the conference.
Experts from Iran, Jordan, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Yemen, Morocco, England and the United States are due to attend the forthcoming event. (Albawaba.com)
