Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi and his Ivory
Coast counterpart Bamba Mamadou on Monday held talks on ways to develop bilateral ties.
Mamadou, currently on a visit to Tehran, exchanged views with Kharrazi on developments in the African continent.
He expressed pleasure with the opening of the Ivory Coast Embassy in Tehran and Iranian Embassy in Yamoussoukro and hoped that it would lead to trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, IRNA news agency reported.
Kharrazi said that Iran has made great strides in the field of science and technology and is ready to transfer technology to Ivory Coast.
In addition, he said that the draft agreements for scientific and cultural cooperation and setting up joint economic commission by the foreign ministries of Iran and Ivory Coast indicated a bilateral decision to boost cooperation. (Albawaba.com)
