Pakistan's Muslim League Secretary General Senator Sayed Mushahhid Hussein told Iranian lawmaker Ilham Aminzadeh on Monday that Pakistan was ready to cooperate with Iran's new president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and further the countries' bilateral relations.
In his first press conference after being elected winning the presidential election, Ahmadinejad expressed hope for expanding Iran and Pakistan relations in all spheres, according to <i>IRNA</i>.
"Iran's new government wants expansion of relations with all its neighbors, including Pakistan," Aminzadeh maintained.
Aminzadeh will remain in Iran for a two-day meeting of the Executive Council of the Association of Asian Parliaments for Peace.
