Iran urges EU to adopt ”logical approach” towards nuclear talks

New Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Secretary Ali Larijani on Thursday expressed regret over the recent decision of European Troika to call off nuclear negotiations.

Speaking to the Islamic Republic of Iran's Broadcasting (IRIB), Larijani said Europe had better adopting a logical approach towards meeting mutual interests to build up confidence, rather than throwing obstacles on the way of mutual understanding and collaboration.

Larijani said not only many International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) members but also a number of other European countries have in contact with Iran questioned about the connection and frame based on which the three European states were selected by the IAEA or were chosen to represent the European states in nuclear talks with Tehran.

He said a number of non-aligned countries have also asked Tehran whom the three European states represent in nuclear talks with the Iranian party.
