Iran: US shouldn't play with fire

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi on Sunday urged Washington to fulfill its international commitments and to abandon its one-sided policy. Addressing foreign and local reporters attending his weekly press briefing, he said Tehran does not take the recent remarks of the US authorities seriously.

"The Americans are aware of Iran's capabilities. We have sent  messages to the US authorities, via Europeans, asking them not to play with fire," he said. Such remarks by the US officials on Iran are indicative of their intervention in Iran's domestic affairs and their incorrect policies regarding other world countries, Asefi said, adding that the remarks also showed that the Americans do not pay any respect to international norms.

On Iran-EU recent nuclear talks, he said, according to IRNA, the recent negotiations were more profound and expertised compared to the previous rounds of talks.
