Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Wednesday recommended the Europeans and the Americans to discard their "arrogant position" and instead adopt a rational stance on global developments.
Speaking after his meeting with Tajik counterpart, he told reporters that it is not possible to administer the world by force because today is the era of logic and contemplation.
In response to the question posed on a draft resolution tabled by three European countries to refer Iran's nuclear dossier to the UN Security Council, he said, "There is no problem. They are trying their best and we cannot prevent others from making such efforts." It is a wrong for some to believe that world organizations are their own tools and they can exert pressure on others by making use of such tools, he said, according to Irna.
"We are to pursue our own rights within the framework of IAEA conventions, he said, adding, "We are not willing to create tensions in global relationship."
Addressing himself to the European countries as well as the US, he said, "Who are you to deny us our legitimate rights? You consider yourselves master of the world where all should obey you but you are mistaken." "In principle we are opposed to development of nuclear weapons and are to pursue dismantling of nuclear arsenals around the globe," he said.
