An Iranian delegation headed by Iranian Ambassador to Moscow, Mehdi Safari, visited a plant in the Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk Wednesday to meet Russian technicians employed to build an Iranian telecommunications satellite, the Interfax news agency reported Thursday.

The delegation was to hold talks with officials of the NPO-PM plant to discuss the design, manufacture and launch of the Zohreh (Venus) satellite.

The 300-million-dollar contract to build the telecommunications satellite was signed by NPO-PM, the foreign trade group Aviaexport and the Iranian Telecommunication Company, Interfax said.
