A U.S. soldier was killed Sunday when a roadside bomb went off near a military patrol in northern Iraq in the province of Kirkuk, the US military said Monday.
In another incident, a suicide car bomber exploded at a western Baghdad checkpoint Monday, wounding three police and three bystanders, a police official said.
