Clashes took place Sunday between U.S. forces and Iraqi fighters in the central Iraqi town of Ramadi, leaving six dead, according to hospital officials.
The fighting broke out in the eastern and central part of the city, The AP reported. Sporadic gunfire could be heard near City Hall. Dr. Dhia al-Hiti from Ramadi Hospital said six people were killed and eight others injured in the clashes.
In Fallujah, more US airstrikes were reported. Locals said US forces pounded positions in the industrial area. (albawaba.com)
