ALBAWABA- Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that Israel will maintain military control over Gaza following the defeat of Hamas, ensuring full operational freedom akin to its approach in the West Bank.
Speaking at the Knesset on December 16, Katz emphasized, “Once we defeat Hamas’s military and ruling power in Gaza, Israel will control security in Gaza with full freedom to act, just as in Judea and Samaria.”
He further stressed that Israel will not allow any terrorist activity from Gaza to threaten its communities and citizens, stating, “We will not allow a return to the pre-October 7 reality.”
