Syrian media sources confirm that missiles, reportedly launched by Israeli aircraft flying over Lebanon, struck multiple sites.

The latest strikes follow a recent Israeli raid on the Homs countryside near the Syrian-Lebanese border, where Israeli warplanes hit areas in the Qusayr countryside, targeting vehicles and a crossing between the two countries, with reports indicating two casualties.

In a related statement, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) disclosed that it conducted a special ground operation in Syria "in recent months," during which it detained an alleged Iranian-linked operative, Ali Soleiman al-Assi.

The IDF claims that al-Assi was gathering intelligence on Israeli troops along the border; he has since been transferred to Israel for interrogation.
