ALBAWABA - Following Erdogan's threat of military intervention in Palestine, Israeli Foreign Affairs Minister Israel Katz threatened the Turkish President with the same fate as Saddam Hussein.
Katz took to X to threaten Erdogan with a similar fate to that of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, who was executed in 2006, if he moved forward with his threat to intervene in Palestine.
"Erdogan follows in the footsteps of Saddam Hussein and threatens to attack Israel. Just let him remember what happened there and how it ended." Katz wrote.
Meanwhile, a Dutch Member of the House of Representatives, Geert Wilders, called Erdogan an "Islamofascist" and "totally nuts" for the intervention threat. Wilders added that Turkey should be knocked out of NATO.
"Islamofascist Erdogan threatens to invade Israel. This guy is totally nuts. Turkey should be kicked out of NATO." Wilders wrote.
Earlier on Sunday, Turkish President stated that Turkey is willing to send troops to Palestine to intervene officially. "We could do the same to them (Israel) as we did in Karabakh and Libya. There is nothing stopping us from taking these steps, provided we are strong enough," he stated.
Erdogan also urged Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to address the Turkish parliament and deliver a speech similar to the one Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered at the US Congress.
Al-Aqsa Flood operation against Israel
Hamas military group announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel which is the biggest offensive in decades.
Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip and captured military bases and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel and others paragliding into occupation territory.
In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
The latest statistics by the Ministry of Health in Gaza revealed that the death toll from Israeli brutal pounding on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has soared to 39,324+ people, with more than 90,830+ injuries.
Since then, approximately 85% of Gazans have been displaced, all of whom are suffering from severe food insecurity, and the healthcare system has collapsed. Hundreds of thousands of people lack shelter, and aid trucks are entering the area at a lower rate than before the conflict began.
