ALBAWABA- In a new statement, the Lebanese Foreign Minister declared, "Any war against Lebanon is a war against all Lebanese," emphasizing the dire situation where Lebanon's choices are between "bad and worse."

Former President of the Progressive Socialist Party in Lebanon, Walid Jumblatt, told Al Jazeera, "Israel attacks, kills, and destroys at every moment in Lebanon." He urged the American mediator, Amos Hochstein, to focus on achieving a ceasefire, reminding him, "He is a mediator, not a carrier of Israel’s threats."

Jumblatt further criticized Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, stating, "Netanyahu cannot be deterred unless the American supply of weapons and ammunition to him stops."

He insisted, "It is time for Israel to understand that it will not be able to eliminate the spirit of resistance," highlighting the resilience of Majdal Shams, an Arab town in the Golan Heights, whose residents largely reject Israeli citizenship.

Israeli Army Radio reported that the Israeli army has presented the government with scenarios for a potential attack on Hezbollah following the incident in Majdal Shams. Security officials have assured the political leadership that these plans are immediately implementable.

Although Israel is not seeking a comprehensive war with Hezbollah, it aims to deliver a "painful blow." The proposed scenarios include tougher military actions than before.

An Israeli raid on the town of Shihin, south of Lebanon, has heightened tensions. In response, Middle East Airlines announced postponing some flights from this evening until tomorrow morning.

Earlier, Maariv reported that Zvika Bogel, Chairman of the National Security Committee in the Israeli Knesset, called on residents of northern towns to open shelters, reflecting the escalating security concerns.

As the situation remains volatile, both sides brace for potential further conflict, underscoring the urgent need for diplomatic intervention to prevent an all-out war.
