ALBAWABA - According to local reports, Israeli forces have arrested the sisters of slain Hamas leader Saleh al-Arouri, Dalal and Fatima al-Arouri from their homes in al-Bireh and Aroura in the West Bank following a series of stormings across Palestinian cities.
Al Jazeera reported that Dalal al-Arouri was arrested as the Israeli forces raided her family's home in Aroura, north of Ramallah. Meanwhile, Israeli troops raided the West Bank city of Al-Bireh and arrested her sister, Fatima, from her home.
Earlier in January, Dalal al-Arouri spoke to the Anadolu agency commenting on her brother's killing in Beirut.
"Saleh's assassination will not deter our people from their struggle, and it will not break the resistance," she said. ''In 2002, Israel committed crimes in the Jenin refugee camp, and a stronger generation emerged. What about the current generation who witnesses this war? New leaders will emerge,'' she added.
"Despite the occupier's (Israel) actions, the West Bank erupted in anger over the killing of Saleh, sending a message to the occupation that it has failed in everything," Dalal al-Arouri added.
On Oct. 31, the Israeli army demolished the home of Saleh Arouri in the town of Aroura.
Saleh al-Arouri killing in Beirut
On January 2, an Israeli drone attack on the Lebanese capital, Beirut, killed senior Hamas official Saleh al-Arouri along with other 5 people.
Hamas confirmed the death of al-Arouri and called it a "cowardly assassination" by Israel, adding that attacks on Palestinians 'inside and outside Palestine will not succeed in breaking the will and steadfastness of our people, or undermining the continuation of their valiant resistance".
