At least 28 Palestinians were shot and injured Monday  by Israeli troops who stormed al-Ama’ari refugee camp, in Ramallah, according to medical sources.

Witnesses told WAFA a number of Israeli military vehicles broke into the camp, located in the heart of Ramallah city, at about 10:00 am Monday and cordoned off a house, provoking clashes with teenagers who pelted stones towards Israeli vehicles.

Israeli troops used live fire to disperse the youths, injuring at least 28, including one in the head.

The Ministry of Health said 28 Palestinians who were injured in al-Ama’ari were admitted at Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah, adding that most of the injuries were centered in the lower part of the body.

Three Palestinians were reportedly arrested by Israeli army during the incursion.
