ALBAWABA- Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen inaugurated the Israeli embassy's permanent headquarters in Manama, Bahrain, on Monday. The ceremony was attended by Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif Al-Zayani.
A significant moment during the event was when a mezuzah, a Jewish ornament, was placed at the embassy's entrance, following Jewish traditions for inaugurating spaces.
Earlier today, Cohen held a meeting with Bahrain's Crown Prince, Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to discuss regional challenges and counterterrorism efforts.
The two sides also emphasized the importance of supporting the Free Trade Agreement and fostering youth cooperation projects between Israel and Bahrain. This visit is Cohen's first to Bahrain as foreign minister.
