ALBAWABA - Palestinian resistance factions launched several significant operations across the Gaza Strip today, targeting Israeli forces in various areas, particularly in Rafah and Khan Younis. The new military operation by the Israeli army has resulted in hundreds of casualties.
These resistance operations coincided with the Israeli army's announcement of the death of an officer due to a grenade explosion in Gaza. The military police have initiated an investigation to uncover the circumstances of the attack.
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, reported that they had targeted three Merkava tanks and a D9 military bulldozer using "Yassin 105" shells and Shawaz explosives east of Khan Younis.
In Rafah, southern Gaza, Al-Qassam stated that they had inflicted casualties on Israeli forces during a close-quarters battle inside a building in the Al-Furqan neighborhood of Tel Al-Sultan, west of the city.
Additionally, Al-Qassam detonated part of a tunnel, targeting an Israeli engineering unit that was pumping explosive gas into it, causing a reverse explosion towards the Israeli forces.
The Al-Qassam Brigades also reported targeting a D9 military bulldozer and two Merkava 4 tanks with Shawaz explosives and Yassin 105 shells.
The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, declared that they had shelled the Kerem Abu Salem and Sufa military sites east of Rafah with mortar fire.
In central Gaza, Al-Qassam, in coordination with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, shelled Israeli forces northeast of the Al-Bureij refugee camp with mortar shells.
Furthermore, they launched short-range "Rujum" missiles, with a caliber of 114 millimeters, at an Israeli command post in the Nitzarim area.
