A 27-year-old Palestinian woman stabbed an Israeli police officer at the Al Aqsa mosque compound in Jerusalem on Thursday. The woman attacked the policeman with a knife, and was later arrested.
She stated that she planned to stab the officer in revenge for the death of her husband at Israel's hand, according to Ynet.
Another Palestinian woman carrying a knife was also detained on Thursday by Israeli security forces near an Israeli military checkpoint outside the West Bank town of Nablus.
The woman, who had reportedly raised the suspicion of the checkpoint's soldiers, was discovered to be carrying a ten centimeter knife.
Israeli troops also arrested two Palestinian men near the northern West Bank town of Jenin after they had thrown a pipe-bomb at soldiers.
When the men were apprehended, according to Israeli sources, two more pipe bombs were discovered in their possession.
Muhammad Fuad, a Palestinian from the West Bank town of Qalqilya, was detained overnight Wednesday after some 25 kilograms bomb-making material was found in his home.
Meanwhile in the Gaza Strip, four unarmed Palestinians were detained by Israeli troops after trying to enter into Israel.
