ALBAWABA - Medical aid organization Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders - MSF) released a statement condemning the killing of its staff member  Fadi Al-Wadiya in an Israeli airstrike earlier on Wednesday as he was cycling to work.

"We are outraged and strongly condemn the killing of our colleague, Fadi Al-Wadiya, in an attack this morning in Gaza City, Palestine. The attack killed Fadi, along with five other people including three children, while he was cycling to work, near the MSF clinic where he was providing care." the statement reads.

Joining the MSF in 2018, Fadi Al-Wadiya was a 33-year-old physiotherapist and a father of three children. With the killing of Fadi, the number of MSF staff members killed in the latest Israeli aggression on Gaza has risen to six.

The MSF report confirmed that they will work on verifying further details regarding the attack, calling it an "example of the senseless killing of Palestinian civilians and healthcare workers in Gaza".

MSF operations manager for Palestine, Caroline Seguin, released a statement condemning the killing of Al-Wadiya.

"Killing a healthcare worker while on his way to provide vital medical care to wounded victims of the endless massacres across Gaza is beyond shocking; it’s cynical and abhorrent," Seguin stated.

Al-Aqsa Flood operation against Israel

Hamas military group announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel which is the biggest offensive in decades.

Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip and captured military bases and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel and others paragliding into occupation territory.

In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.

The latest statistics by the Ministry of Health in Gaza revealed that the death toll from Israeli brutal pounding on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has soared to 37,658+ people, with more than 86,237+ injuries.

Since then, approximately 85% of Gazans have been displaced, all of whom are suffering from severe food insecurity, and the healthcare system has collapsed. Hundreds of thousands of people lack shelter, and aid trucks are entering the area at a lower rate than before the conflict began.
