Jacky’s Electronics capitalises on Sharjah electronics boom
Multi-brand electronics retailer unveils 11th Jacky’s Outlet at Sharjah City Centre
The rising demand for consumer electronics in Sharjah has prompted Jacky's Electronics, the UAE’s number one multi-brand retailer, to open its second outlet in the Emirate at the Sharjah City Centre.
Catering to the increasing number of people residing in Sharjah and the construction boom that the Emirate has witnessed, the company launched Jacky’s Express at the Sharjah City Centre. This new outlet will be home to various brands of digital gadgets including MP3s, laptops, mobile phones, digital cameras, gaming products, accessories, LCD and Plasma TVs.
The only established multi-brand electronic retailer in Sharjah City Centre, 1,800 square-feet Jacky’s Express opened its doors to Sharjah residents with Jacky Panjabi, Group Managing Director, Jacky’s Electronics, cutting the ribbon at the Grand Opening event.
“The consumer electronics market in Sharjah has been maturing and is no longer seen as a market for cheap and unbranded products. Customers now are rapidly adapting mobile and modern technologies packed with quality, extended warranties and brand names they can trust.
“With the UAE considered as the region’s hub for consumer electronics industry, we would like to capitalise on this growth and make Jacky’s Electronics’ presence stronger in every emerging emirate. We are partnering with leading mall developers such as the Majid Al Futtaim Group, hence the birth of Jacky’s Express in Sharjah City Centre,” said Ashish Panjabi, Chief Operating Officer, Jacky’s Electronics.
As Sharjah plans to develop its Central District into a commercial and industrial hub, the opening of this outlet from Jacky’s is a significant move to become part of the booming economy of the emirate.
In February, the company unveiled a Jacky’s Express in Souk Al Bahar, its 10th outlet in the UAE. There are also plans in the pipeline for the unveiling of two additional outlets in August at Dubai Mall.
Earlier this year, Jacky’s won two awards from MAF Shopping Malls after being named the ‘Best Electronics and Entertainment Store’ at both Deira City Centre and Mall of the Emirates. In March 2008, the company was also awarded the ‘Best Retail Company of the Year Award’ in the region’s first IT Channel Middle East Awards.
