Jacky’s Group of Companies, one of the UAE’s leading retail groups, will participate in both, the trade exhibition and shopper component at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK 2007– the region’s single largest event for technology in the region, with a 30 percent increase in stand size.

Jacky’s Electronics, the authorised dealer for more than 50 top consumer electronics, IT and Mobiles and photographic equipment brands, is gearing up for the event with an intensive 45-day training programme for its 200-strong sales staff who will man its stands.

“GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK attracts a record number of regional and international visitors, who come to experience firsthand new technological developments as well as buy the latest products from leading IT and electronic brands exhibiting at the event,” said Ashish Panjabi, Chief Operating Officer, Jacky’s Electronics.

“With each brand looking to highlight their latest offerings, we are training our sales staff to be proficient at demonstrating new features and to help customers make informed buying decisions about products most suited to their requirements.

“Shoppers are increasingly demanding products that provide optimum compatability. A good example for this is laptops, capable of supporting popular applications such as YouTube, gaming and DivX playback as well as better processing technologies including, RAM, Hard Disk and multimedia, which have become the order of the day.

“At Jacky’s we continue to stay on top of technology trends and constantly track consumer buying patterns to ensure our customers can choose from the best and most popular products on the market.”

Jacky’s will display some of the latest products from global leaders in Information Technology, Consumer Electronics, Office Automation, Gadgets & Lifestyle Electronics, Digital Mobility, Telecom, Gaming & Entertainment - dotted across the GITEX Shopper exhibition floor to provide a wide variety of choices to visitors with easy access to products.

Jacky’s was the top-performing retailer at GITEX Shopper 2006 and experienced a 45 percent increase in sales as compared to 2005.

“Knowledgeable sales staff and competitive prices combined with our innovative promotions strategy contributed to an extremely successful event and we plan to build on that success, this year as well,” said Panjabi.

Jacky’s will have major promotions across its product lines for GITEX Shopper & Consumer Electronics Expo 2007 at its stands as well as at Jacky’s Electronics and Jacky’s Express stores in Dubai and Sharjah.

While GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from 8 to 12 September, GITEX Shopper & Consumer Electronics Expo 2007 will be held from 6 to 12 September at Dubai Airport Expo.

Jacky’s will be present in Hall 3, Stand – 305 in the GITEX Business Solutions, GITEX Exhibition and all three halls at GITEX Shopper & Consumer Electronics Expo 2007.
