Japan’s foreign minister Yoriko Kawaguchi is scheduled to begin a visit to the Middle East region early June for talks with Israeli and Palestinian officials on the peace process.
International Japan Radio quoted the minister as telling reporters that she told the cabinet affairs minister Yako Fokoda on her plan to visit the Middle East from June 8-9, according to KUNA.
She added that the Middle East would top the agenda of discussions during the G-6 summit and stressed her support for reforms within the Palestinian National Authority that were recently declared. (Albawaba.com)
