The Middle East’s first and only private airline, Jazeera Airways, today officially launched weekly flights to Shiraz. The launch was held at a press event at the Shiraz International Airport, where airline now flies to twice a week, operating brand new Airbus A320s with all leather seats.

Upon arriving at the Shiraz International Airport, Chairman and CEO Marwan Boodai said, “Operating from three cities in Iran, Jazeera Airways is surely the best to way travel between Kuwait, and Shiraz, Tehran and Mashhad.”

Boodai’s visit to Shiraz is part of his tour of newly launched destinations, which also, coincided with Jazeera Airways’ announcement of its 2006 audited financial statements. Jazeera Airways reported revenues of USD 74.5 million with a profit of USD 8.7 million and earnings per share of US Cents 8.7. The airline recently submitted its application to the Kuwait Stock Echange and is expecting to list in the second quarter of 2007.
