Jordan announces major cabinet reshuffle

A Royal Decree was issued Sunday to reshuffle the government of Prime Minister Faisal Al Fayez. According to Petra, the wide reshuffle includes 16 portfolios as follows: 

-Marwan Muasher: Deputy Prime Minister/ State Minister for Prime  

Ministry Affairs and for monitoring government performance  

-Hani Mulqi: Minister of Foreign Affairs. 

-Salah Eddine Al Bashir: Minister of Justice 

-Hazem Nasser: Minister of Water and Irrigation  

-Alia Buran: Minister of Tourism and Antiquities 

-Ra'ed Abu Saud: Minister of Public Work and Housing 

-Asma Khader: Minister of Culture and Government Spokesperson  

-Nayef Al Hadid: Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs  

-Ahmed Thuqan Al Hindawi: Minister of Industry and Trade 

-Yusef Shurayqi: Minister of Environment 

-Nadia Helmi Al Saed: Minister of Telecommunications and  

Information Technology  

-Fahed Abul Ethem Ensur: Minister of State for Legal Affairs 

-Saud Al Nseirat: Minister of Transport  

-Munther Al Shar'e: Minister of Political Development  

-Ahmed Khalaf Massadeh: Minister State for Developing the Public Sector 

-Sharari Kassab Shakhanbeh: Minister of Agriculture  

 

Nine new ministers entered the government for the first time and they were sworn in before King Abdullah. They are: 

--Hani Mulqi: Minister of Foreign Affairs. 

-Ahmed Thuqan Al Hindawi: Minister of Industry and Trade 

-Yusef Shurayqi: Minister of Environment 

-Nadia Helmi Al Saed: Minister of Telecommunications and  

Information Technology  

-Fahed Abul Ethem Ensur: Minister of State for Legal Affairs 

-Saud Al Nseirat: Minister of Transport  

-Munther Al Shar'e: Minister of Political Development 

-Ahmed Khalaf Massadeh: Minister State for Developing the Public Sector 

-Sharari Kassab Shakhanbeh: Minister of Agriculture  

 

A Royal Decree was also issued accepting the resignation of:  

- Mohammad Halaiqa 

- Mohammad Daoudyah 

- Fawaz Al Zu'bi
