Jordan: Parliamentary elections to be held on Nov. 20

Jordan's council of ministers on Tuesday set November 20, 2007 as the date of holding the parliamentary elections in the kingdom. Earlier this week, King Abdullah II issued a decree dissolving the 110-seat lower house of parliament to prepare for the vote.

 

In June 2003, Jordan held its last legislative election. The rate of participation in the elections was 58.8 percent.
