Jordanian - Egyptian summit held in Sharm al Sheikh

Jordan's King Abdullah II and Egyptian President Muhammad Hosni Mubarak on Monday held discussions in the Egyptian resort city of Sharm El- Sheikh. According to Petra, the two leaders declared that establishing an independent and geographically connected Palestinian state is the only way to achieve a just and a comprehensive peace in the region.


They also pointed at the seriousness of actions of some extremists, especially actions of some Jewish extremist groups to enter al Aqsa Mosque, which may lead to pulling the truce down between the Palestinians and the Israelis.


The King and the President noted to the importance of supporting the efforts of the Palestinian President exerted to build a strong economy and active Palestinian institutions.
