At a mass gathering for iftar Tuesday attended by hundreds of impoverished families in the Jordanian city of Zarka, the governor of the city voiced appreciation for UAE President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who had ordered a donation of 300,000 iftar meals for the poor in the kingdom.
Abdullah Al Sarhani told Al Arab Al Youm daily that the gesture by Sheikh Zayed “reflects the brotherly relations between Jordan and the UAE.”
