A Royal decree was issued bestowing upon Jordan's Queen Rania Al Abdullah the rank of honorary Colonel in the Jordan Armed Forces as of Wednesday.
According to Petra news agency, the King also his wife to chair the Higher Commission of the Queen Rania Al Abdullah society for the care of military personnel and their families. This body provides aid and financial assistance to needy armed forces families.
It also allocates monthly income for orphans and widows of military personnel and provides loans and social services. (Albawaba.com)
