As part of its ongoing support for the social development and advancement of Jordan, Jordan Investment Trust PLC (Jordinvest) announced its full financial support and sponsorship for the Leadership Enhancement & Mentoring Program (LEMP), a program that is to be implemented in cooperation with the International Women’s Forum of Jordan (IWF/JC).

The aim of LEMP is to develop women’s business career paths and to provide them with tools and skills that can assist them in assuming leadership positions.. The Leadership & Mentoring Program will provide training and personal development that promotes professionalism and leadership for women in banking and business which may later expand to include women in academia, science and world affairs.

Jordinvest's sponsorship of such an initiative comes as a reflection of the genuine interest in the development of the Kingdom and the social initiatives it holds.  By taking on such initiatives, Jordinvest solidifies its role as one of the first financial firms to take an interest in the community it operates in.

Jordinvest’s role includes spreading publicity and awareness about the project through targeting members of social and economic organizations across the country and inviting women who have made notable achievements in both the private and public sectors of the Jordanian market to take part in the LEMP program.  Through their participation, these women are to help find ways in which they could become empowered, more influential, and more efficient in their knowledge and their skills.

Chairman/CEO for Jordinvest Mr. Ahmad Tantash commented, "We are honored to sponsor such a grand initiative.  By empowering pioneering women, we will be playing an important role in shaping our economy and in moving it closer towards a future that promises more prosperity and development for our nation at large.  Jordinvest is an organization that places great importance on the empowerment of women; at present we employ 14 women amongst our staff and these women work side by side with their male colleagues to push our organization forward effectively."

This program is launched under the instructions and the ideologies of the IWF/JC.  It was launched in accordance with HM Queen Rania Al Abdullah's vision and belief in the importance of female empowerment.  As an extension to the address she had made during the International Women’s Forum, Queen Rania Al Abdullah called on women to play an integral role in the nation's journey of advancement and development.

Mr. Tantash added that Jordinvest plans to support other developmental initiatives like the LEMP, as the firm aims to see its nation grow and prosper further in the years to come.

From her end, Ms. Raghda Al Kurdi, President of the IWF/JC stated that she was happy to see Jordinvest take an interest in the LEMP and she thanked the firm for its generous sponsorship and support.  "LEMP is an important program to be implemented especially since 30% of the individuals working within the financial sector are women.  The program is to focus on the banking sector, but it is also going to target leading women working within other sectors as well," she added.
