ALBAWABA — Hebrew media outlets reported on Saturday that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was injured during a large-scale attack on Tehran carried out by the United States and Israeli forces earlier in the day.

According to Israeli media reports, the strikes targeted key governmental and strategic sites in the Iranian capital, including what was described as the official residence compound of the Supreme Leader. Aerial images circulated by Hebrew outlets showed visible destruction within the complex following the bombardment.

However, Reuters quoted an Iranian official as saying that Khamenei was not in Tehran at the time of the strike and had been moved to a secure location. Iranian authorities have not issued an official statement confirming any injury to the Supreme Leader.

Israeli officials speaking to the U.S.-based news outlet Axios said that Israel had attempted to assassinate both Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian as part of the broader offensive.

Meanwhile, Israel’s Yedioth Ahronoth reported that several senior commanders of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and political figures were killed during the joint Israeli–U.S. strikes.

On the Iranian side, Mohammad Jafar Ghaem Panah, Assistant to the President for Executive Affairs, confirmed that President Masoud Pezeshkian is in “complete safety and good health,” amid earlier reports that he may have been among the targets.

Earlier in the day, the United States and Israel launched what was described as a wide-ranging offensive against Iran, targeting government and military facilities across multiple provinces. Satellite imagery published by international media showed extensive damage to high-profile compounds in Tehran.

The situation remains fluid, with conflicting reports emerging regarding the condition of Iran’s top leadership as regional tensions continue to escalate.
