Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has lashed out what he described was Islamic countries' "indifference" to the plight of Palestinians, and said continuing the intifada was the only way forward.
"Today only the continuation of intifada could unravel the tangle of the Palestinian people," the Tehran Times quoted Khamenei as telling a gathering of theology students.
"Unfortunately, the Islamic world today does not fulfill at all its obligations towards Palestine," he said, accusing several Islamic countries of "being indifferent to the Zionist regime's atrocities in the occupied Palestinian lands". (Albawaba.com)
