Jordan's King Abdullah has promised a "relentless" response to Daesh's killing of a captured Jordanian fighter pilot, Reuters reported late Wednesday.
Citing state television, the news service quoted the king as saying, "We are waging this war to protect our faith, our values and human principles and our war for their sake will be relentless and will hit them in their own ground."
The king had earlier returned to Amman after cutting short a visit to the United States.
After the horrific video of Muath al-Kasasbeh's death was released, Jordan executed two prisoners on death row who had been convicted of terror offenses. It also carried out air strikes against the militant group, also known by the acronyms ISIS and ISIL.
