Kuwait has never held any secret contacts with the Palestinian Authority, said Kuwait’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed Sabah Al Sabah on Saturday.

But the minister reiterated the Gulf country’s support to the Palestinian cause and people, reported the official Kuwait news agency (KUNA).

Sheikh Mohamed said "there had never been, I repeat never, any secret contacts with representatives of the Palestinian Authority." The state of Kuwait "will not forget those who did harm to it or those who stood by the aggressor against it."

Meanwhile, the minister said he was very saddened by the tragic death of the PA official in charge of Jerusalem File, Faisal Husseini, who died in Kuwait on Thursday, said KUNA.

He was "a devoted struggler and sincere defender of the Palestinian cause, foremost the cause of Jerusalem,” according to the agency.

Husseini, who died of a heart attack, was laid to rest Friday in Jerusalem – Albawaba.com
