A limited fire incident reported in an oil refinery in Kuwait on Thursday. There were no casualties, an oil official told Kuna.
The fire started in Shuaiba refinery at 6:15 pm local time after a leakage in one of the gas pipelines and has been contained in half an hour, said Sami Al-Rushaid, Chairman and Managing Director of Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC).
He conveyed the production in some of the units in the refinery were halted as a precautionary measure and temporarily. The facility is located in southern Kuwait, and it is one of three in Kuwait.
