The Kuwaiti ruler, Amir Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Jaber
al-Sabah will return home on Tuesday after “recuperating completely” from an earlier illness, said an official statement released on Sunday.
Since September 2001, Sheikh Jaber has been in a London hospital after suffering a "limited" brain hemorrhage. The amir, who has ruled since 1977, reportedly have lost some sensation in one of his legs.
Sheikh Jaber, 73, was taken to London's Cromwell Hospital by private ambulance after arriving aboard his private plane at London's Heathrow Airport last September. During his stay in London, Kuwaiti officials told the press the amir “was in good health.” (Albawaba.com)
