Kuwaiti soldiers suspected of planning to attack ”friendly troops”

A Kuwaiti military official disclosed on Monday that a number of military personnel were being questioned after gathering information about a plot to launch "hostile action against a friendly country." Director of Moral Guidance and Public Relations, Army Chiefdom of Staff, Air Commodore Yousef Abdelrazzak Al-Mulla, said the Army Intelligence's security apparatus is interrogating some members of the military after what surfaced on a plot against "friendly troops."

 

According to KUNA, he said interrogations are still continuing.

 

Mulla added some of those interrogated were released after ensuring that they had no intent to launch hostile action.

 

He said anyone proven involved whether directly or indirectly in this planned action would be referred to the martial court that would enforce the law and take the appropriate measures against them.
