Edutech, a leading provider of technology-enabled learning solutions, announced that it has recently been awarded an AED 1 million contract to deploy engineering equipment and solutions to the Academia Management Solutions International’s (AMSI), International School of Arts & Sciences (ISAS) in Al Warqa, Dubai. The contract was signed at the Gulf Educational Supplies Show (GESS) 2008, an event featuring the latest in technology, solutions, supplies and resources for educational facilities, which was held for the first time at the Madinat Jumeirah Convention Center from January 22 - 24, 2008.

Having pioneered the utilisation of IT-enabled learning technology in the UAE in the Dubai-based campuses of Al Mawakeb Schools, AMSI seeks to further reinforce its commitment to high quality learning through its partnership with Edutech. Upon the completion of the project, ISAS is expected to benefit from Edutech’s rapidly deployable and cost-efficient engineering equipment, which facilitates faster learning cycles and easier access to information.

“AMSI is committed to enhance the learning experience in all our schools by introducing innovative and advanced educational solutions,” said Adonis Nasr, Chief Executive Officer, AMSI. “Edutech’s top of the line solutions are what we were looking for to strengthen our schools’ academic resources. We have always been the leader in using IT in our classroom and would like to introduce a model for future education across the region.”

“This is a very significant development for our K-12 offerings, and will bolster our presence in this segment further. It is extremely important that organizations realize the true potential of introducing their students to technology-based learning, and AMSI has taken a big step in this direction. We consider our partnership with AMSI very significant and we believe that our experience in working with many Ministries of Education and prestigious private educational institutions will help us in delivering the best solutions to AMSI,” said ASF Karim, Chief Executive Officer, Edutech.

“We are also pleased that the educational sector is continuously discovering ways to gather the region’s most significant proponents in the academic front, thereby enhancing the opportunity for students to develop critical skills that are required in the rapidly evolving corporate world. We are extremely positive that our partnership with a widely recognised institution will further reinforce our movement towards developing and establishing new learning environments,” concluded Karim.
