At least 50 people killed in separate accidents in Afghanistan

ALBAWABA - At least 50 people were killed in separate bus crashes in central Afghanistan, an Afghan official revealed to media on Thursday.

Hamidullah Nisar, the provincial head of information and culture, posted on X on Thursday that two bus crashes in the country left at least 50 people killed and injured dozens more.

According to local media, the accidents happened on Wednesday evening on the same highway in Ghazni province between Kabul, and southern Kandahar.

The first accident occurred when a passenger bus crashed with a fuel tanker near Shahbaz village in central Ghazni. 

On the other hand, the second accident took place between a bus and a truck in the eastern district of Andar, the Afghan official added.

Hafiz Omar, a spokesman for the governor of Ghazni province, revealed that at least 50 people were killed in the accidents.
