The Lebanese army detained 28 Syrians for illegally entering the country and moving without residency permits.

Thirteen Syrians were detained near the Bekaa Valley’s Masnaa area near the Syrian border for entering Lebanon through illegal crossings, the army said in a statement issued Monday.

Another 15 Syrians were apprehended in Deir Ammar in the northern district of Akkar for not acquiring the necessary residency permits.

They were all handed over to the judiciary.
