A Lebanese army major was killed and three other officers were wounded during a sports training maneuver they were staging in a military base in south Lebanon's oil harbor of Zahrani on Wednesday, the Beirut media reported. Media reports said the mishap occurred when a ladder the officers were climbing during the maneuver collapsed.
