The Lebanese Army Saturday confiscated large quantities of bombs and ammunition found in a vehicle in the northern town of Shadra, the National News Agency reported.

Soldiers became suspicious of the car, a silver Renault, at a military checkpoint at the entrance of the town.

Upon searching the vehicle, they discovered the weapons and detained the driver, who was identified in the report as Mohammad R.

The Army blocked the road and brought a military expert to inspect the vehicle.
