Libyan police arrest Daesh militant recruiting youth

Crime fighting office in Ghryan managed recently to apprehend a Tunisian national affiliated to state organization found distributing leaflets urging youth to join Daesh.

Head of investigations at the office, Major Tanish told LANA that after receiving tips indicating a Tunisian national recruiting youth to Daesh in Ghyrian.

Then, investigation staff monitored the suspect and after ascertaining the information he was arrested. He explained that the suspect was working in a photo shop in Ghryian for a long time and in collaboration with the owner of the shop he was caught red handed.

After interrogation he admitted that he joined the organization, and another youth made a testimony revealing that the suspect tried to convince him to join Daesh as well. The suspect was referred to the public prosecution.
