The leader of Libya's rebels arrived in Tripoli on Saturday, as former leader Gaddafi's loyalists pushed back against an assault on the town of Bani Walid. Mustafa Abdul-Jalil, head of the National Transitional Council, landed Saturday at an air force base on the outskirts of Tripoli.
He said his priority is to end the battle against the forces of the deposed leader Colonel Muammar Gaddafi. Abdul Jalil said that Gaddafi is not yet over and he has enough money and gold threat the stability of the country. Abdul-Jalil noted the stage of liberation is not yet complete, and called for national unity.
Meanwhile, on Saturday night, a radio station in Bani Walid rebroadcast Gaddafi's last recording, in which he urged his followers to rise up and fight, saying "This is the zero hour."
"Shame on you if you don't fight. If you don't fight, you will go to hell," he said in the message, which was repeatedly replayed on the station.
