Community hospitals planned at Al Raha and Mussafah areas of Abu Dhabi
The Lifeline Hospital Group, a leading provider of healthcare in the capital, and the International Construction Contracting Company (ICCC), today announced two major healthcare initiatives at Al Raha and Mussafah areas of the emirate. The Lifecare hospitals are being built at the Workers Village in Mussafah and Al Raha. The Workers Village and the project at Al Raha Village are being built by ICCC.
Commenting on the launch of the two healthcare facilities, Dr, Shamsheer V.P, Managing Director, Lifeline Hospital Group, “Abu Dhabi has witnessed economic growth over many folds during the past few years, thanks to the leadership and vision of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi and His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. Many large scale projects are underway in the emirate. Skilled labourers from around the world have been employed in these projects. It is a must that the labourers are also provided with proper healthcare facilities in their neighbourhood. The Lifecare hospitals concept is aimed to providing best healthcare facilities for communities in their neighbourhood.”
The two hospitals are being built at a total investment of AED180 million. The construction of the 80-bed Lifecare Al Raha is scheduled to be completed in July 2008. The 100-bed Lifecare Mussafah in Workers Village is expected to be ready by February 2009.
Commenting on the construction of the two hospitals, Mr. Saeed Bin Omeir Bin Youssef, Chairman, ICCC, said: “The Workers Village in Mussafah will be ready with all the basic amenities of living. The Lifecare hospital will provide residents of the Village with healthcare facilities right in their neighbourhood. The residents will not have to travel far distance for their healthcare needs.”
